In 1999, as an 8 year old kid, my favorite movie was Austin Powers. I wrote to Lego asking for them to create an Austin Powers Lego set. The Lego Group wrote back, kindly saying it wasn't an interest of their at that time".

 

Lego did say "Continue being creative and never stop building with Legos". I took that letter to heart, and continued to collect & sell as a side hobby. I setup a table and started selling them at my neighborhood yard sales, flea markets and finally creating my very own website.
